We look forward to 2007 and enjoying the fruits of 2006. Namely Everett. p.s. Everett cut his first tooth (lower left) on Christmas Day. He cut his second tooth (lower right) on his five month birthday, Friday, December 29th.
This afternoon, our Bradley classmates came over for an afternoon of baby fun. The baby boys, from left, are Kieran (seven months), Aiden (five and-a-half months) and Everett (four and three-quarter months). The education that we received from Bradley Childbirth Classes went beyond preparing for a natural labour and delivery. It also addressed excercise, nutrition, attitude and philosophy.
We've been having a pretty slow month. This winter has been unseasonably cold and windy. However, we are having a lovely family weekend this Thanksgiving holiday and I thought that we should note that Everett has turned the four month mark.
Finally, behold Everett... Turtle Baby! We had a happy Hallowe'en celebrated with friends in a busy trick'r'treatin' neighbourhood and we hope you did too.
Yesterday Matt, Everett and I accompanied our friend Joel up to Glen Alps where Joel completed his water and organism sampling of the South Fork Campbell Creek before it froze over. It was a gorgeous day. Adding to the beauty, a pair of moose rested nearby the creek.
Matt was in Naknek, a big river system near Bristol Bay over the weekend doing some extreme fly fishing. This is just one of the many very large healthy Rainbow Trout he caught with his spey rod.
Everett and I went on a leisurely walk today along the coast of Cook Inlet. Matt is fishing in Naknek. The name of the mountain in the background is Sleeping Lady. All of the mountains around us have snow on them now. Winter is coming.
I can't believe it has been a month since I last posted any pictures. It seems I have plenty of pictures, but not plenty of time. Our wedding certainly occupied much of my time as did our wonderful son.
Today, our photographer posted our wedding slideshow on his website. Yesterday, Everett turned two and a half months old. Tomorrow, Matt and I will have been married three weeks.
We've had some just gorgeous weather and I couldn't resist a short hike for blueberries. The sunshine and scenery were a great relief after all the rain.
We had a lovely visit with my mother over these past two weeks. Even though it rained and rained while she was here, I think she still had a wonderful time getting to know her first grandbaby.
Finally... another picture. Our first week has flown past. Grandma Jude arrived on Tuesday, right after our first appointment with the pediatrician. That was a big day! Today we went to the store and picked out some little boy clothes since we are starting to go on outings. We will model these for you in future posts. Love to all.
Our dear friends Chris and Diane were married in Girdwood yesterday evening. The ceremony and reception were lovely. We took advantage of being dressed up to take some pictures of my big ol' belly.
